Once you have everything clear in your mind a jewelry booth business becomes a pleasure. Too often there is too much vagueness about how to go about certain aspects of running a stall which just add stress and anxiety. Let's face it, most of us just want to create. But to continue to feed our artistic bent we also need to make an income from our designs.

We need to begin by having all our paperwork in place. This means covering issues such as insurance for fairs, a business license for our particular state and sales tax regulations. Once these have been formalised, they are not very time consuming at all. But they will never simply resolve themselves without some real initial effort on our own part.

Then we must think through how to price our jewelry effectively. This can actually be fun once you get the bug. All the prices can be completely different depending on the show and the expected clientele. We need to think about the perceived value of our creations. That means we may have unpriced top of the range, completely unique, items and also cheap impulse buys.

Which leads us on to the importance of display. Various ranges are better grouped together so the customer does not have to spend an age seeking out what they want. Where and how the displays, along with highlighting with light effects are issues to consider for your jewelry booth. If it is a large stall, you need to consider how the eye will be drawn around the numerous contents. [Author: Sara Mayes]
